My five-star review of The Voices in My Head, by Jerry Don Nicholes Sr.
Trapped in a lonely and dark world, Sean feels like everyone else around him is in a different universe. Communication works with nobody except the voices in his head. They suck him into a black hole and start exerting their evil through him. He plunges into a pit from which there seems no escape and the consequences become more and more horrific.
This must have been a difficult story to put together, one of the main difficulties distinguishing between the real and the unreal. But Jerry Don Nicholes Sr. carries it along smoothly. He builds the tension, makes the reader terrified on Sean’s behalf and leads into a surprising and well-managed finale. Thanks, Jerry, for a most satisfying read.
